In this podcast episode I discuss listing high jackers...
Yes they suck and just about every Amazon seller I know will have to deal with them at one time or another.
More often then not you can get them off your listing fairly easily without issue. However a small percentage of them take some extra effort.
WHAT IS LISTING HIGH JACKING?
It's essentially when someone else uses your listing you created to sell a similar or counterfeit product. (Yes Amazon allows others to jump on your listing and sell from it)
HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS IS HAPPENING?
You will see on your listing under the pricing information or off to the right of the page that it says "Also Sold By" or "Other Sellers" It will usually be shown in red and then list the sellers next to it.
WHAT IS THE BUY BOX?
If you are the only seller of the item on your listing then by default you own the "Buy Box." If you have other sellers on your listing then by default you will still get the sale unless the customer clicks on another seller to buy from them. It can occur where you get bumped from the "Buy Box" on your own listing and someone else take control of it. In order for you to make a sale they would have to click on you as the seller and buy from you.

FIRST MESSAGE TO HIGH JACKER:
Hey,
I just wanted to kindly inform you that we noticed you are selling on our listing we created. While we are certain you did this by mistake we just wanted to reach out and ask nicely that you please remove yourself from our listing. Here is the ASIN that we are referring to in this matter (XXXXXXXX)

SERIOUS TONED MESSAGE TO HIGH JACKER:
Hello (insert seller name here),
We have noticed that you are still continuing to sell our product on our listing. This is our brand that we created and we have never authorized any other sellers to sell.
If you are attempting to use our listing while selling a similar or counterfeit brand then that is something that we take very seriously. We also know that Amazon takes that very seriously and we are already in communication with them about this incident.
If you do not remove your product from our listing immediately then we will send Amazon a formal Cease And Desist letter. If you remove your product from our listing we will kindly inform Amazon not to pursue this matter any further at this point.

Yes it can be downright brutal to find the perfect product that meets all of your criteria.
Some people spend weeks or even months in the product research phase and then fail to take action and make a decision.
One of the main problems is that most Amazon sellers are all following the same general criteria in the product research phase and looking in the same exact product categories as everyone else.
In this podcast episode I talk about thinking a little outside the box to find a product to sell on Amazon.
A lot of the hidden gems are discovered when you break some of the rules and are willing to take some risks.
Here is a basic criteria of what your product should be like:
Now I am here to explain that it's ok to break some of these general rules.
Consider the following ideas:
As long as your bottom line numbers work out then you should be willing to open your mind up in the product research phase.
After playing on Jungle Scout for about 30 minutes I quickly discovered some potential opportunities in the follow categories:
Also if you are looking to find a product to sell on Amazon without using any tools then you are essentially just wasting a lot of time. Using a tool like Jungle Scout allows me to quickly uncover cool things to sell within the matter of minutes.
There are certainly unique opportunities all around you so start to think about those odd or unique items. They may not be "sexy" but I am sure you wouldn't mind if they were making you an extra $2000 a month passive income.
So in conclusion... Think weird, break some rules and don't be afraid to go against the grain when in the product research phase.

Make Your First $100 On Amazon FBA This Weekend - Amazon FBA Reselling - PLS EP 30
Welcome To Episode #29 of the Amazon Private Label Show Podcast!
In this episode walk you through how I was easily able to increase the sales of a product by a minimum of 15% + every day with very little effort on my part.
I have become a huge fan of product variations lately.
Recently I was able to spike the sales of a particular product by at least 15% each and every day. As each day goes by it only grows bigger.
This was due to simply offering this particular product in an additional color variation.
I had a product that was selling well but wanted to push it even further and I noticed a need in the market that wasn't being served.
In this podcast I will walk you through that process of how I knew to offer the product in another variation and some of the results that came from it.
By adding a variation to a listing your give the customer more choice and options which is awesome. The new product also shares reviews with the original product which eliminates the need to do a giveaway which is great.
As a results my conversion rates have gone up and obviously sales for the original product and the new product continue to go up daily. Impressions are also way up!
As the new product matures and starts to build up keyword authority over time it will keep increasing in rank and sales which is really exciting as well.
Look at a product you are selling or thinking about selling and see what variation options you can offer it in. Look at color, size, and style options for starters and see what the market is demanding. Create your listing variations and get to selling!

It's free to use as long as you sign up for an Adwords account which is also free. I love being able to take a Amazon URL of a competitor and insert it into Google Planner to generate keyword ideas from it. It's very slick and you should be using this tool constantly when setting up you product listings.

2. CamelCamelCamel - Another awesome free tool that is simple to use. When you are in the product research phase you should be tracking your future competition to study past sales history and look at past price changes. Simply find the ASIN of your Amazon competition and simply insert it into Camel and let it do the rest to deliver you the data you desire. This is a very helpful and nifty free tool that you will grow to love.

3. Simple Keyword Inspector - I use this tool when I want to generate tons of keywords that I can use in my listings or dump into my Amazon PPC campaigns. Simple Keyword Inspector has loads of Amazon data and keywords at your fingertips. I love and use the reverse ASIN feature where I can find my top 3 competitors and have this software spy on their listings essentially. I simply insert the competitors ASIN into the software and then it generates a large spreadsheet of awesome keyword data that it took from their listing. It saves me tons of time and helps me create better listings and PPC campaigns quickly.

4. Jungle Scout - This is a must have for any and all Amazon FBA sellers. If you are in the product research phase then this is your tool you want to be using. It will dramatically cut the time down when searching for new products or niches to get involved with. It is available as a simple chrome extension or now as a web app with many newly expanded features. I can't stress this enough... This tool needs to be in every Amazon sellers toolbox.

Hi Nick, first of all, awesome show! In terms of questions, I am about to have my first shipment delivered to FBA and I am trying to figure out the product photo strategy. Do I try to take the shots myself (using a white background) or go to a pro, if latter, any suggestions?
ANSWER -
Are all inspectors equal? What qualifications and/or requirements are important when getting an inspection?
ANSWER -
I think my biggest question right now is how and where to organize effective giveaways (or selling for $1.00). For example, if I want to give away 200 products over a 10 day period, how would you organize that and get it in front of the freebie seekers?
ANSWER -
Here is my strategy for giveaways. Give away 10 codes personally in Facebook review groups that you can post to. They know the drill. Follow up personally with them or have a VA do it.
After you get some reviews come in… Do a blast with a review service that meets your needs. I love GetBSR.com and regular Facebook review groups. Let them handle the rest. If you want a 10 day package you might need to negotiate for custom pricing. Or you can purchase the services of 2-3 blast or review groups to coordinate a longer promotion.
Bottom line... Pay someone else to worry about organizing your launch.
Hi Nick just caught up on all episodes and keen for more. As an international and looking to land my first product direct to Amazon via air (just receiving samples to Australia) two queries are UPS and DHL custom agents as well as freight forwarders ( just need some direction on what input from me to get through customs). Also can you recommend a 3rd party fulfillment agent in the US that could prep for delivery to Amazon at reasonable rates? ( I assume also once in the US UPS Amazon shipping rates kick in hopefully). How I Am Using Instagram To Grow My Amazon FBA Business- AMAZON PRIVATE LABEL SHOW PODCAST EP 23

In this episode I will cover some important do's and dont's when it comes to your Amazon sales page. I will also give you some of my top tips to help you improve your Amazon product page and increase your conversions. These simple tips and ideas will help you convert more and make more money!

As an Amazon private label seller you know that a high converting product sales page is extremely critical to your success.
Lets talk about the makeup of the sales page.
Specifically the Title, Bullets, Images and description.
Not getting serious about each one of these critical components of your Amazon sales page can cost you big time.
Leaving money on the table sucks.... So don't be that person that neglects this.
Each section of your Amazon sales page should be optimized.
Always be testing and updating to maximize conversions and sales.
Here are a few general rules that Amazon says you should be following.
GENERAL RULES: No promotional messages, No directing to website, no symbols, Follow the character limits, Each word should be caps in the title, no all caps in title
These are clearly just a few rules for you but I highly recommend you check out your Amazon category style guide for all of your specific guidelines.
It's important you know the rules and work to keep in compliance with the rules to avoid penalty from Amazon.
1. Title is used for keyword ranking. Ensure your top keywords are in here. No need to over do. If in title don’t put in your back end search terms.
2. As you run pay per click you will get knew keyword data – use NEW hot converting keywords and put them in your title
3. Check to make sure your listing is online daily. It might get suppressed if you don’t follow the rules.
4. Write numerous headlines/titles and say out loud.
5. Bullets.. Don’t clutter or write a book here. Should be clean
6. Description should have a call to action ALWAYS
7. Hire someone to do the photos! Use all 9 spots, get extra images
8. Create and use promotion box – 2 for, 3 for, 4 for
9. Save your entire listing in case you need it later
10. Always be testing and tracking changes
TITLE: 200 characters max, No promotional messages, Use your brand name
BULLETS: Highlight the top features of your product. Characters will vary by category.
DESCRIPTION: Describe accurate info in detail, Size, Warranty, No promo material or websites. Max is 2000 characters. No HTML allowed except <p>
IMAGES: Pure white background, At least 1000dpi, image should occupy 80% of image area,
