When To Start Selling Outside Of Amazon - Amazon FBA Success [EP 39]
When is the right time to take your Amazon business outside of Amazon?
Certainly many sellers are tempted to explore the possibilities of selling outside of Amazon at a certain point.
For long term Amazon FBA success having a presence outside of Amazon could prove to be a smart play.
Here is my breakdown of thoughts on when you should consider moving outside of Amazon.
- If you are not having success on Amazon then don't worry about starting your own e-commerce site yet.
- Once you start to have some Amazon FBA success with a few products then you might consider taking your brand outside of Amazon.
- If you are just getting started then don't waste an ounce of effort on things like Facebook ads or any other social media marketing.
- You don't ever have to take your business outside of Amazon if you don't want to as Amazon is still a great platform that converts.
Here are some benefits to having your own site:
- You can enroll in Amazon brand registry
- You can link your e-commerce and Shopify site to your Amazon FBA account
- You can gain a few additional sales
- You can link it to your social media accounts for your brand
- You get the email addresses of your customers
- You can control everything
- Customers and easily contact you about issues
